ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ । ਟੱਪੇ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰਜਮਾਨੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ । ਇਸ ਕਾਵਿ ਰੂਪ ਤੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਇਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਠਕ੍ਰਮ ਲਈ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਹੈ ।
